Bazylika św. Małgorzaty - Sanktuarium Przemienienia Pańskiego

The Basilica of St. Margaret - Sanctuary of the Transfiguration is a pearl of sacred architecture in Nowy Sacz, combining elements of Gothic and Baroque.

The temple impresses with its rich artistic heritage, including a Gothic polychrome from 1360, depicting scenes of martyrdom and crucifixion.

A unique treasure is the Veraicon, an image of the Transfiguration of Christ from the 15th century, which is a replica of the Shroud of Turin. Note the sculpture of the Madonna and Child from the 14th century and the frieze with apostles brought back after the Battle of Grunwald.
