Description

The Przemyśl Fortress - Lower Sanok Gate is a fascinating part of the fortification of one of Europe's largest fortresses.

Built in 1887 as part of the inner defensive line, it impresses with its unique architecture with a semicircular bastion and distinctive loopholes.

The site is part of the Good Soldier Swejk hiking trail, and after restoration will become the start of a route along the southwestern section of the fortress core fortifications. Ideal for lovers of military history and defensive architecture.
