Description
The castle complex in Kazimierz Dolny is a historical pearl of eastern Poland, picturesquely located on the Vistula River. It consists of two main parts: a round tower (Lokietek's Tower) from the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, and the lower castle.
The tower, with its unique barrel shape, designed to make it difficult to use siege ladders, is one of the oldest defensive structures in Poland. The castle ruins offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills and the tranquil Vistula River.
It's the perfect place for history buffs, photography enthusiasts and family strolls. The castle grounds encourage picnics and discovering the mysteries of medieval architecture.
