Description
Sobień Castle (ruins) is a fascinating monument of medieval defensive architecture located on a steep hill in the San valley.
Built in the 14th century, probably on the initiative of King Casimir the Great, it offers unforgettable views of the Slonné Mountains and the San valley, and on sunny days even the Bieszczady Mountains.
The stone walls of an irregular quadrilateral plan with a characteristic square tower in the northwest corner will transport you to the fascinating world of the medieval families of Kmita and Stadnicki, who once ruled this place.
