Description
The Piast Castle in Legnica is one of the oldest brick castles in Poland, dating back to the 13th century. For more than 750 years it was the seat of Piast princes, Habsburg aldermen and Prussian and German offices.
The impressive castle complex impresses with the towers of Lubinska, St. Peter and St. Hedwig, as well as the chapels of St. Benedict and St. Lawrence.
It is a place where history comes alive in every nook and cranny, and the medieval walls tell the fascinating history of the Silesian land and its rulers.
