Zamek Kokořín

Kokořín Castle is a 14th century Gothic fortress carved out of local sandstone, towering over the picturesque Kokořín Valley.

The castle offers a fascinating journey back in time - a knightly exhibition with paintings, ancient weapons and coats of arms. It is famous for its dark ghost legends, including a story about a young girl and a man who entered a crypt and never returned.

Climbing the walls offers a panoramic view of the surrounding woods. Restored in a neo-Gothic style between 1911 and 1918, it is the first completely preserved medieval monument in the Czech Republic.
