Description

St. Hedwig's Tower is one of the oldest elements of the Piast Castle in Legnica, dating back to the 13th century. Its unique treasure is the Green Chamber with unique polychromes from around 1500, depicting vine and flower motifs.

According to local legends, St. Hedwig spent time here praying and talking to angels.

The tower, with its octagonal top added in the 15th century, is a fascinating trip back in time for lovers of history, architecture and medieval art.
