Description
Great Malolka Glade is a picturesque glade located in the Mała Łąka Valley in the Western Tatras at an altitude of 1170-1200 meters above sea level. It was formed on the site of a former glacial lake, as evidenced by the well-preserved moraines on its eastern side.
The clearing offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, including Giewont and Kopa Kondracka. This is an ideal place for both experienced hikers and families with children.
There used to be an entire shepherd's settlement of 15 buildings in the clearing, although no trace of it remains today. The fertile soil of the clearing was used for grazing sheep and cattle since the late 16th century.
