Description

Khao Phing Kan is a picturesque island in Phang Nga Bay that gained worldwide fame thanks to the 1974 James Bond film 'The Man with the Golden Gun'.

Its landmark is the iconic 20-meter rock formation Ko Tapu, known as 'James Bond Rock'. Crystal clear, shallow waters with a pale green hue surround two forest-covered islands with steep shores.

It's an adventure lover's paradise - you can go longtail boating, kayaking, explore caves with paintings and Buddhist temples, and enjoy the abundance of marine life in the surrounding coral reefs.

avatarJD4 months agoI can not express the grandeur and beauty of this location enough. Words do not describe how beautiful this location is. We took a tour to get us to this location. Even despite the small crowds, we truly enjoyed the water and scenery here. It is like nothing we had ever seen before. The water, sunlight, and limestone rock formations make for a paradise like setting.
avatarAman Kesarwani2 years agoI must say that when we went here there were reviews that experience was underwhelming for few people but I politely disagree. The structure is the middle of the water looks amazing and looked so much better than what we saw in the movie There are ample photo opportunities and you want to be careful while swimming in muddy water because of sea shells. Must visit
avatarWilson Pinto3 months agoVisiting Khao Phing Kan has been on my bucket list for a long time — and I’m so happy I finally made it! The place is absolutely beautiful, with the iconic Ko Tapu limestone rock rising dramatically from the emerald-green sea. Truly a sight to behold! It was a bit crowded during the holidays, but the energy of excited travelers added to the charm. There are also some small souvenir shops on the island where you can pick up unique handmade items and gifts. 🛩️ A special thanks to the National Park authorities for allowing me to fly my drone here. I’m a licensed and registered drone pilot in Thailand, and I deeply appreciate the support and professionalism shown by the staff. The aerial views I captured are simply breathtaking! This destination is a must-visit for anyone coming to southern Thailand. Nature, adventure, and cinematic history — all in one place!
