Description

Dog Grass is a scenic hiking trail in the Tatra Mountains, ideal for families with children. The trail is gentle and mostly straightforward, with a few minor climbs, making it accessible to everyone.

The name comes from the 'dog grass' plant that used to grow in the area. The trail can be extended to Hala Gąsienicowa, where a hostel with delicious regional cuisine and the famous tomato soup awaits.

In winter, the route makes for an exceptionally pleasant walk, and numerous benches along the way allow you to rest and admire the surroundings. This is an excellent starting point for further exploration of the Tatra National Park.

avatarM G11 months agoA very nice trail to start with children, the route runs along pebbles, there is a lot of shade along the way, the views are unforgettable, a bit uphill but you can easily overcome it, I saw people with strollers on the trail, I don't recommend it - the whole stroller moves around, I don't know if it's pleasant for the child. Then the route leads to the Gąsienicowa valley. There is a paid parking lot at the entrance, the cost is PLN 35/day, after 10 a.m. there were still a few spaces available.
