Description
Fort Clinch State Park is a 1,400-acre preserve combining history with wilderness on the northern tip of Amelia Island. The heart of the park is a 19th-century fort with daily historical reenactments by Union soldiers, cannon demonstrations, and candlelit night tours.
Over 100 species of birds, alligators, turtles, and bobcats await on the trails among the dunes and marshes. Pristine beaches beckon with shark tooth hunting, and wild horses from Cumberland Island can be seen from the waterfront. It's the perfect place for history, nature, and outdoor enthusiasts.
