Description

Boulders Beach is a unique beach protected by ancient granite boulders dating back 540 million years, where you can swim alongside endangered African penguins.

The penguin colony settled here in the 1980s and has since become a permanent feature of the landscape. The turquoise waters are warmer than on other beaches on the peninsula, and the boulders provide protection from the wind and waves.

Wooden walkways lead to viewing platforms above Foxy Beach, where penguins nest just a few meters away from visitors. The white sands and calm bays create the perfect place to relax and take photos.
