Description
The Italian Garden is a unique place full of history and elegance in Kielce. Designed in the 17th century as an ornamental garden in the complex of the Cracow Bishops' Palace, it impresses with its geometric layout and symmetry typical of Italian garden art.
After restoration in 2002-2003, it regained its former splendor. Today one can admire the central part surrounded by apple orchards, ornamental hornbeam and lime avenues with gazebos. Historical elements like the orangery and the icehouse take you back to a time when exotic fruits and plants were grown here.
It's a perfect place for a quiet stroll among history and nature.
