Description
Salina is an extraordinary salt lake hidden in the crater of an extinct volcano on the island of Sal. The water here is saltier than the Dead Sea, allowing anyone to float effortlessly on the surface. The landscape changes colors depending on the sunlight, creating a kaleidoscope of colors among the historic ruins of an 18th-century salt mine.
It is one of the seven natural wonders of Cape Verde and the only salt mine in an extinct volcano in the world. An ideal place for relaxation, mineral therapy, and flamingo watching.
