Rynek Wodny

The Water Market is one of Zamosc's two smaller market squares, located on the city's transverse axis, south of the Grand Market Square. It owes its name to the nearby pond, although the square itself has little to do with water - it is, however, currently decorated with a water feature alluding to the name.

Originally it was not intended as a market, but as a site for residential development. Unlike the Great Market, it has no arcaded houses, although historical research indicates that such once existed.

Today, the square is rectangular in shape and is a quiet, historic space within the Old Town, offering a glimpse of Zamosc's past urban planning.
