Description
The Jata Nature Reserve is one of the oldest protected areas in Poland, under protection since 1925. Often referred to as 'Bialowieza Forest in miniature'.
This unique natural forest impresses with its diversity of flora and fauna - more than 14 species of trees, including the famous 'Queen of the Firs' that is 200 years old, and an abundance of animals: elk, deer, roe deer, wild boar and rare bird species.
Educational paths with information boards allow you to learn the secrets of forest management and nature protection, and the diverse ecosystems: forests, oak-hornbeam, alder, alder meadows and peat bogs, create a unique microclimate.
