Description
The Pepper Mountains are a unique nature reserve just 4 km from Sandomierz. At 500 million years old, these oldest mountains in Poland owe their name to the friable Cambrian rocks that resemble black pepper.
The place is famous for Europe's largest concentration of wild roses - as many as 12 species! Designated hiking and biking trails lead through the picturesque landscape, offering breathtaking views of the Vistula River and Sandomierz's old town.
This is a paradise for nature lovers, botanists and photographers. An ideal place for active outdoor recreation surrounded by fascinating geology and rich biodiversity.
