The John Paul II Memorial in Elk is a unique site commemorating the Pope's visit to the city in 1999, which attracted more than 300,000 pilgrims - the largest gathering in Elk's history.
The monument, designed by Czeslaw Dźwigaj, is located in a beautifully modernized square with new benches, lanterns and carefully designed greenery.
