Description
The Osterwa Theater in Lublin is one of the oldest and most representative buildings in the city. Built between 1884 and 1886 in an eclectic style with a predominance of neo-Renaissance, it impresses with its rich decorations, stucco and ornate balconies.
Named after the prominent Polish actor Juliusz Osterwa, the theater has witnessed important cultural events, including the historic premiere of Stanisław Wyspiański's 'The Wedding' in 1944.
