Description
The ruins of the Teutonic Castle in Pokrzywno are a fascinating monument dating back to the 13th century, which was originally a Slavic Copriven castle. The complex consists of three parts: a high castle, a middle castle and a low castle, forming an impressive defensive system.
Preserved elements, such as the east wing of the high castle, the entrance gate and the granary, give an idea of the former power of the fortress. Particularly impressive is the crenellated gate leading to the middle castle with a pointed portal and triangular turrets.
The site, surrounded by lush vegetation, is an ideal destination for history and nature lovers.
