Description
Zarnowieckie Lake is a picturesque body of water located in the Pomeranian province, offering clear waters and beautiful scenery.
With a length of 7.6 kilometers and a width of 2.6 kilometers, it is an excellent place for water sports and outdoor recreation.
The lake has an interesting history - after World War I it served as the border between the Second Republic and Germany. Today it serves as the lower reservoir for the Żarnowiec Peak-Pump Power Plant, one of the largest of its kind in Poland.
Every July, the area around the lake comes alive during the water and walking pilgrimage to the St. Anne's Indulgence, which is a unique cultural attraction in the region.
