Description
The 'Bunker in Konewka' Tourist Route is a fascinating historical site that is part of the former German command complex Gefechtsstand 'Anlage Mitte' - one of Hitler's three main command centers on the Eastern Front during World War II.
A 380-meter-long railroad shelter with military displays, military vehicles and cannons awaits. History buffs can also visit an 80-meter-long underground technical canal connecting the railroad shelter to the power plant.
It's a real 'living history lesson' surrounded by the beautiful Konewka nature reserve with a 200-year-old oak forest.
