Description
The Chateau of Zaton - Ruins is a fascinating monument with a rich history dating back to 1689. Originally a baroque mansion, it was transformed into a classicist palace in the 19th century by Duchess Dorothy de Talleyrand-Périgord.
The 30-acre park surrounding the palace, designed by Peter Joseph Lenné, offers scenic walking paths and a relaxing atmosphere. In the evening, the ruins are strikingly illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere.
The minimalist façade with rustication and column porticoes in the Doric order are a testament to the former splendor of the place, ideal for lovers of architecture and history.
