Jima Falls

Jima Falls is an enchanting set of 12 waterfalls located in the province of Monseñor Nouel in the Dominican Republic, declared a Natural Monument in 2009.

This magical place offers not only breathtaking views, but also natural pools of crystal clear water, perfect for swimming.

Hiking trails wind through the lush landscape, providing various vantage points. The area is famous for its rich flora and fauna, including fig trees, ceibas, ferns and various species of birds.

According to local legends, an ancient mermaid lives in the waters of the Jima River, luring fishermen with her beauty and melodious voice.
