Description

The Tykocin Museum, a branch of the Podlaskie Museum in Bialystok, is housed in a historic synagogue dating from 1642, one of the best preserved in Poland.

This unique place presents the rich Jewish history and culture that once flourished in Tykocin. Exhibits include the interior of the Great Synagogue, the Passover Seder, the Rabbi's Room and the Zygmunt Bujnowski Painting Gallery.

The synagogue's facade underwent a major renovation in 2018, recovering its original 17th-century colors - deep pink and turquoise. Audioguide allows you to fully immerse yourself in the fascinating history of the place.
