The Ulma Family Museum of Poles Saving Jews during World War II in Markowa is a unique place commemorating the heroism of Poles who risked their lives to save Jews during the occupation.

The minimalist architecture of the museum, reminiscent of a country house, perfectly captures the atmosphere of those times. The 117.3 sq. m. space houses a moving exhibition with personal items, documents and photographs illustrating daily life in Markowa.

An Orchard of Remembrance with illuminated glass plaques and a Wall of Remembrance with the names of the rescuers provide a moving tribute to the courage of ordinary people in extraordinary times.
