Description

The Tenement House is a fascinating section of the Opole Silesia Museum that takes you back in time to the lives of Opole's residents from the late 19th to mid-20th centuries.

Five apartments display furniture and household furnishings from different eras (1890-1965). Of particular interest are the displays of different ways of heating rooms, including tiled and cast iron stoves, and an English kitchen with a white tiled stove.

In the attic of the tenement there is an exhibition on washing, drying and mending, presenting equipment used by housewives from the late 19th century to the 1970s.
