Miedzianka

Miedzianka is a fascinating place with a mysterious history. Once a bustling town, it literally sank into the ground due to intensive mining operations, especially uranium mining by the Russians in the 1940s and 1950s.

Today you can explore a 6-kilometer educational trail with 16 stations and 3 large tablets that tell the story of the town and its inhabitants. The hill offers breathtaking views of the Giant Mountains, the Janowickie Ore Mountains and the Kaczawskie Mountains.

Culture lovers will appreciate the 'Miedzianka on the Road' literary festival held at the end of August, while gourmets will enjoy the local beer from the Miedzianka brewery.
