Sleeping Dwarf is one of the most charming sculptures in the collection of Wroclaw's dwarves. This lazy guardian of the underground settlement of dwarves has been immortalized while taking a nap, from which he is said to wake up only to the smell of food.

Sleeper is part of a larger family of more than 800 dwarves scattered throughout Wroclaw, which allude to the Orange Alternative movement - an anti-communist movement that used absurdity as a form of protest.

Searching for the dwarves is great fun for the whole family and an original way to discover the charms of Wroclaw. Each dwarf has its own unique history and character, and Sleeper is certainly one of the most distinctive ones!
