Description

Jozef Pilsudski's Mound is an impressive monument to Polish history erected in 1934-1937 on Sowiniec in Wolski Forest.

This majestic structure, 35 meters high and with a base diameter of 111 meters, hides earth from the battlefields of World War I and World War II, symbolizing the nation's struggle for independence.

From the top of the mound there is a breathtaking panorama of Krakow, the Krakow Landscape Park and, on sunny days, even the Tatra Mountains. It's the perfect place for a family walk or bike ride, which can be combined with a visit to the nearby Krakow Zoological Garden.
