Description

The 1939 Polish Battle Shelter is a fascinating military monument from World War II. This one-sided bunker, equipped with a machine gun position, was part of the Warta Line, Poland's defensive line against German aggression.

The shelter was manned by soldiers of the Kaniowski Infantry Regiment and was a testimony to the heroic defense of Poland in September 1939.

Today the site is an attraction for history and geocaching enthusiasts - it is part of a multicache route of about 4-5 kilometers. When exploring, it is worth taking a flashlight to see the interior of the bunker in detail.
