Description
The Bishop's Palace in Lublin is a fascinating monument with a rich history dating back to the 16th century. Originally owned by the Firlej family, it passed through the hands of many noble families, including the Lithuanian Sanguszko family.
The palace survived dramatic events - after a fire during the Bar Confederation it was rebuilt in neoclassical style, and after another fire in 1829 it regained its splendor in classicist style.
It is now part of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, combining academic and cultural functions. It is a great place for history and architecture lovers.
