Description
The ruins of Kurzętnik Castle are a fascinating monument of medieval defensive architecture. Located on a high hill above the Drwęca River, they offer breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
Built between 1331 and 1361 by the Chełmno Chapter, the castle witnessed the turbulent events of the Polish-Teutonic wars.
An interesting fact is the legend of a mysterious underground passage connecting the castle to the distant castle in Bratian.
For lovers of history and Gothic architecture, this is an excellent opportunity to admire the preserved fragments of granite and brick walls and learn about the fascinating history of the region.
