Description
The Francis Wozniak Tenement House is a fascinating monument in the heart of Poznan with a rich commercial and cultural history.
Built at the beginning of the 20th century and renovated after a fire in 1905 to a design by Martin Sonnabend, it served as the residence of the Mycielski family and later became a significant commercial center.
Between the wars it housed the famous František Wozniak Department Store, offering textiles, furs and home furnishings. It is also the place where the future prominent musician Stefan Stuligrosz trained as a merchant under Wozniak's patronage.
