Galeria Sztuki w wilii Oksza (filia Muzeum Tatrzańskiego)

The Art Gallery in the Oksza Villa (a branch of the Tatra Museum) is a unique venue in a historic villa designed by Stanislaw Witkiewicz in 1894.

After extensive renovation in 2008-2010, the gallery presents a permanent exhibition 'Artists and Art in Zakopane' with works by such masters as Rafał Malczewski, Leon Wyczółkowski and Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz (Witkacy).

The villa itself is an excellent example of the Zakopane style with its richly decorated beams, doorframes and window frames. Originally called Korwinowka, later renamed Oksza, it is a gem of Zakopane architecture.
