Galeria Malarstwa Alfonsa Karpińskiego

The Alfons Karpinski Painting Gallery is a unique museum dedicated to the work of one of the leading artists of Young Poland.

It is housed in the historic 1905 building of the former county courthouse, a symbolic return for the Rozwadow-born artist.

The permanent exhibition, divided into seven thematic spaces, presents two dominant motifs in Karpinski's work: studies and portraits of women and atmospheric still lifes.

It is a fascinating journey through the artist's life, from his beginnings in Rozwadów, through his studies in Cracow, to his Parisian period, when he was influenced by Japanese art.
