The Devil's Stone is a fascinating natural monument on the ridge of Maple Mountain in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains.
This impressive rock formation of Upper Cambrian quartzite, protected since 1954, has distinctive tectonic marks that will delight geology enthusiasts.
The site is shrouded in local legends - according to one of them, the stone was dropped by the devil flying to destroy the monastery.
It's an excellent destination for families, cyclists and hikers, accessible via scenic hiking trails, including the Edmund Massalski Świętokrzyski Trail.
