Praia Santa Monica

Praia Santa Monica is one of the longest beaches in the world, stretching 18-22 km along the Atlantic coast of Boa Vista. White sand, turquoise waters, and wild, untouched landscapes create a paradise for nature lovers.

This is the historic site of the first Portuguese landing on the island. In summer, the calm waves encourage swimming, while in winter, the powerful Atlantic waves attract surfers and kitesurfers. During the season (June-October), you can see nesting sea turtles.
