Description
The ruins of the castle in Bychawa are a fascinating monument dating back to the 16th century, when Mikolaj of Pilcza Pilecki began building a fortress to protect the area from Tartar invasions.
Today you can admire the remains of the palace with its western wall, corner alcoves and fragments of a column portico. The picturesque surroundings of the fish ponds and lagoon create the perfect backdrop for photography and history enthusiasts.
The architecture, which combines Gothic and Baroque styles, impresses with details such as cornices and window frames, bearing witness to the region's rich past.
