Description
Grotta Verde is a stunning sea cave on the southern coast of the island of Capri. It is famous for an unusual phenomenon - the water inside the grotto shimmers an emerald hue due to the refraction of light on the inner walls.
The cave was formed millions of years ago as a result of sea erosion of dolomite rocks rich in minerals. It has two entrances: one underwater, submerged four meters below sea level, and the main entrance on the east side.
The best way to discover this magical place is on a boat trip from Marina Grande, during which you can also admire the island's other grottoes. This is an unforgettable experience for lovers of nature and beautiful views!
