Ponta da Ferraria

Ponta da Ferraria is a unique natural bathing area on the west coast of the island of São Miguel in the Azores. This geological wonder was formed when hot volcanic lava flowed into the ocean, creating a distinctive platform called 'fajã'.

The biggest attraction is the natural thermal pools, where hot geothermal water mixes with cold ocean water to reach temperatures of 18-28°C. The best swimming conditions are at low tide, when the water is pleasantly warm.

The Miradouro da Ilha Sabrina lookout point offers breathtaking views of the basalt cliffs and rocky coastline. This is the perfect place for adventure and nature lovers.
