Start our adventure with the most challenging yet rewarding trail on the island - climbing to the top of Khao Ra. The hike to the summit takes an average of 1.5-2 hours, depending on your pace and the number of stops. It is advisable to bring a minimum of 1.5 liters of water per person and energy snacks. Sturdy trekking shoes are a must, especially during the rainy season, when the trail becomes slippery and muddy.

The reward for the effort of climbing, however, is well worth the effort - from the summit of Khao Ra, the highest point of Koh Pha Ngan (630 meters above sea level), there is a spectacular view of the entire island and the surrounding sea. On sunny days you can even spot the neighboring island of Koh Samui. This is the perfect place to take souvenir photos and take a moment to contemplate the surrounding nature.

For those looking for a less demanding alternative, we recommend a visit to Bottle Beach Viewpoint. While not as high as Khao Ra, it also offers beautiful views of the bay and Bottle Beach, considered one of the most beautiful on the island. Getting to the viewpoint is much shorter and easier, taking about 15-20 minutes from the parking lot. This is a great option for families with children or those who don't feel up to the challenge of Khao Ra.

Once there, you can not only enjoy the view of the cascade, but also enjoy the natural pool at the foot of the waterfall. It's the perfect place to picnic and relax surrounded by wildlife. Admission to the Wang Sai area costs 50 baht (as of 2023) and includes access to other attractions, such as Tarzan House and a zipline ride.

Another point worth visiting is Namtok Than Sadet National Park, home to the Than Sadet Waterfall, considered one of the most beautiful on the island. The trail leading to the waterfall is well marked, although it can be challenging in places. Along the way you can admire impressive rock formations and lush tropical vegetation. The waterfall itself consists of several levels, creating picturesque cascades and natural pools, ideal for swimming.

It is worth remembering that the availability and attractiveness of waterfalls on Koh Pha Ngan is closely related to the season. The best time to visit these places is during the rainy season (from May to October), when the waterfalls look most impressive. During the dry season, some of them may dry up or have significantly reduced water flow.

The reward for the effort is reaching one of the most beautiful and isolated beaches on the island - Bottle Beach.
