Zoo w Antwerpii

The Antwerp Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the world, founded in 1843. More than 5,000 animals of 950 species are waiting to be discovered, including rare and endangered species like okapi, bonobos and Siberian tigers.

Historic buildings dating back to the 19th century, including an Egyptian temple from 1856, add to the unique character of the place.

For the little ones, there is a special 'kidsite' area with a playground and small animals that can be touched. The zoo also runs breeding programs for endangered species and DNA research, making it not only a place for entertainment, but also for education.
