Zamek Książąt Mazowieckich w Ciechanowie

The Castle of the Dukes of Mazovia in Ciechanow is a medieval fortress built around 1355 during the reign of Duke Siemowit III. This Gothic building with a rectangular shape of 48 x 57 meters impresses with its historic architecture and powerful defensive walls.

Over the centuries the castle has undergone numerous renovations, and during the reign of Prince Janusz I it was transformed into an impressive residence with raised walls and an 18-meter wide moat.

Today it's a fascinating museum where you can enjoy panoramic views from the towers and learn about the history of the region. The place regularly hosts cultural events, including the famous Tournament of Knights for the Ring of Princess Anne.
