Description
The Teutonic Castle in Sztum is a fascinating monument of Gothic architecture dating back to the 14th century that impresses with its unique construction.
Built between 1326 and 1335, it is distinguished by its unusual polygonal shape and two towers. The most distinctive feature is the gate with a square tower, a rarity among Teutonic castles.
The south wing, the walls with one donjon and the gate tower have survived to this day. The castle served an important function during the Thirteen Years' War, and now houses the Sztum Cultural Center, offering numerous cultural events and exhibitions.
