Description
Beckov Castle is a majestic fortress built on a 50-meter high rock, combining Gothic and Renaissance architectural styles.
This 13th-century building hides fascinating legends, including the tale of the jester Becko, who is said to have initiated the construction of the castle, and the story of a servant who placed a curse on his master.
In July, it hosts the Beckovské Slávnosti festival with falconry demonstrations and a craft fair. During the tour you can admire the Gothic staircase, the chapel and learn about the medieval history of the region.
