Description
St. Michael's Bridge is an elegant stone arch bridge in the heart of Ghent, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city's three famous towers - St. Nicholas Church, the Bell Tower and St. Bavo Cathedral.
Built between 1905 and 1909 in the neo-Gothic style, the bridge is adorned with a central lantern with a bronze statue of Archangel Michael defeating a dragon.
It's the perfect place for a romantic stroll at sunset or a photo session capturing the city's medieval charm. From the bridge, you can admire the picturesque waterfronts of Graslei and Korenlei and the historic Gravensteen Castle.
