Description

The Clock Tower in Sighișoara is a fascinating monument dating back to the 14th century that originally served as the main gate to the citadel and later as the city hall.

The impressive 64-meter structure impresses with its unique roof with four turrets symbolizing the city's autonomy. The 17th century clock mechanism has two dials and figures representing the days of the week.

Today the tower houses the Historical Museum with a model of medieval Sighișoara and other interesting exhibits. From its top you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city - an ideal spot for photography and history lovers.
