Description

Hungary's National Museum is the largest museum in Hungary, a symbol of national freedom and pride.

Stunning neoclassical architecture with a portico adorned with sculptures by Rafael Monti and frescoes by Móra Thana and Károly Lotz create a unique setting for the rich collections.

Among the valuable exhibits are St. Stephen's coronation mantle, a child's armor attributed to King Sigismund, and numerous artifacts from the Avar period and the Habsburg era. A park surrounding the museum with monuments to prominent figures of Hungarian culture completes this remarkable site.
