Description
The Leaping Tiger Gorge is one of the deepest and narrowest gorges in the world, located in Yunnan Province, China. It gets its name from the legend of a tiger that jumped over the Jinsha River at the narrowest part of the gorge.
It's a trekker's paradise - the popular 22-kilometer-long High Trail offers breathtaking views of steep cliffs and waterfalls. Along the route are traditional villages inhabited by the Naxi, Yi and Lisu ethnic minorities.
The most iconic point is Leaping Tiger Point, which offers panoramic views of the entire area. For adventurers and nature lovers, it's a place that will long be remembered.
